Coloured Acoustic Plaster: Any Shade, Any Specification

Acoustic Plaster Cafe

Design Freedom Without Compromising Performance

Modern architectural spaces often demand more than just standard white surfaces. At Quiet Craft, we believe that world-class acoustics should never dictate your colour palette. We provide bespoke, integrally tinted acoustic plaster finishes that deliver a high-performance Class A sound absorption ( up to 0.95) in any hue you envision.

Our systems, including BASWA Phon, are custom-dyed to ensure the pigmentation is consistent throughout the material, providing a depth of colour that remains vibrant and stable over time.

BASWA Colours

Bespoke Colour Matching for Luxury Brands

We understand that precision is paramount in luxury interiors. Our technical laboratory can accurately match our acoustic plaster systems to almost any architectural colour standard or designer paint library, including:

  • Designer Libraries: Full matching for Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Benjamin Moore, Paint & Paper Library, and Dulux Heritage.

  • Standard Systems: Complete range of RAL Classic and NCS (Natural Colour System) codes.

  • Physical Samples: We can provide a visual match for physical swatches or existing interior finishes to ensure a seamless transition across different substrates.

The Technical Difference: Integral Tinting vs. Painting

Unlike traditional walls, acoustic plaster must remain porous to absorb sound energy. Simply painting over an acoustic surface with standard emulsion will "seal" the pores and ruin its acoustic performance.

  • Integral Tinting: We add specialised pigments directly into the marble plaster finish before application.

  • Acoustic Integrity: This method ensures the surface remains breathable and sound-transparent, maintaining the system’s high NRC ratings.

  • Seamless Finish: Resulting in a monolithic, uniform colour across vast ceilings, domes, or vaulted surfaces without visible joints.

Why Choose Coloured Acoustic Plaster?

  1. Zonal Design: Use colour to define spaces in large open-plan offices or galleries while maintaining a quiet, comfortable environment.

  2. Architectural Features: Perfect for vaulted ceilings, domes, and double-curved surfaces where a monolithic, seam-free colour is required.

  3. Low VOC & Sustainable: Our tinted systems maintain the eco-credentials of the base material, ensuring they are suitable for BREEAM and LEED certified projects.
