BASWA Cool: Thermal Comfort & Seamless Acoustic Design

The Invisible Solution for Radiant Heating and Cooling

The active BASWA Cool system uses an embedded capillary pipe system to provide thermal comfort. It can be installed directly in concrete ceilings or lowered systems.

Large space water transporting capillary pipe mats are installed close to the surface. While they require only a minimum amount of space and energy, they provide draft-free and noiseless room temperature control paired with outstanding sound absorption. Thanks to the small amount of acoustic rendering coverings and the surface proximate installation as well as the good heat conductivity of the mineral-based acoustic stucco, the system delivers outstanding heating and cooling effects.

BASWA Cool is a dual-function premium ceiling system that integrates high-performance radiant temperature control with the world-class sound absorption of a seamless acoustic plaster finish. Designed for high-end residential, commercial headquarters, and museum environments, BASWA Cool eliminates the need for unsightly grilles, bulkheads, or noisy air conditioning units.

Why Leading Architects Specify

BASWA CoolFor specifiers, the challenge is often maintaining a minimalist, monolithic aesthetic while meeting the rigorous thermal and acoustic demands of modern building regulations.

Radiant Temperature Control (TABS)

Unlike traditional forced-air systems, BASWA Cool utilises capillary tube mats embedded within the acoustic layer. This provides a draft-free, silent, and energy-efficient method of heating and cooling, ensuring a superior indoor climate without the mechanical noise.

Class A Sound Absorption

Despite its thermal capabilities, the system maintains the exceptional acoustic performance of the BASWA Phon range. It achieves Class A absorption, effectively controlling reverberation in spaces with large glass facades or hard-surface floorings.

Non-Combustible & Sustainable Performance

Safety is paramount in modern specification. BASWA Cool carries an A2-s1, d0 fire rating (non-combustible) and is composed of sustainable mineral wool and marble-sand finishes, contributing to BREEAM and LEED certifications.
