BASWA phon Base acoustic plaster for Ceilings and Walls
System structure
A layer of the coating compound BASWAphon Base is applied to a substrate (drywall or concrete) of grouted and ground acoustic panels and smoothened. The system has been designed so that it can be applied to a suspended ceiling or directly onto concrete. The height above the surface is 30mm, 50mm or 70mm.
Characteristics
BASWAphon Base is the coarsest of the BASWA coating compounds. The grains have a diameter of up to 0.7mm. Therefore the surface is relatively rough and porous, but finer than that of conventional machine-applied plaster. The coating compound BASWAphon Base is water repellent. It is not water-soluble and therefore cannot be removed after it sets. BASWAphon Base can be dyed in all shades. Contamination can be prevented, or removed easier later, by subsequent post-treatment using the surface protector.
Acoustics
A single layer of coating compound with a high degree of porosity ensures excellent absorption characteristics.
Recommended use
Horizontal, inclined or vertical surfaces. Also perfect for swimming pools or wet rooms.
